INDUSTRY NEWS: New Hercules ‘Avalanche’ winter tire ready to take on Canadian roads …

MISSISSAUGA, ON – During the company’s first-ever media event held March 31, Hercules Tire Canada unveiled its new winter tire called the Avalanche, designed for harsh winter-
driving conditions on Canadian roads.


“For 15 years, we’ve established a solid base in this country with our Polar Trax and Signet Winter Trax products,” said Rob Keller, Vice-President, Hercules Tire Canada. “Now we’re preparing to move to the next level by offering advanced winter tire technology at affordable prices for consumers – we think it’s going to be powerful combination for our dealers.”

“The Hercules-brand Avalanche winter tire will be available in 16 different passenger and light-truck sizes starting September, additional sizes will be added early next year. This will complete the line of 83 sizes for the 2006 winter season,” Keller said.

“Avalanche targets North American, Asian and European vehicles. This new winter product is designed for optimum winter traction and superior handling,” said Keller. “Our objective here is to continue offering consumers an alternative to major national brands in the Canadian market. Avalanche gives us another opportunity to meet our goals of providing premium products and great value.”
