CASCAR: MOPAR AND MOBIL 1 EXTEND RELATIONSHIP INTO RACING

For many years in the automotive business DaimlerChrysler’s Mopar Parts Division and Imperial Oil have shared many successes. Now as the mutually beneficial association between parties passes the 40 year mark, Mobil 1 and Mopar come together again, this time at the race track. The Mobil 1 logo will race with the #60 Mopar Parts Dodge Charger to be piloted by Ron Beauchamp Jr. in the CASCAR Super Series.

The continued expansion of the relationship between Mopar and Mobil 1 is a natural. Since the 1960’s Imperial Oil has been the major lubricant supplier and manufacturer of the majority of Mopar branded lubricants. Mobil 1 is also the only recommended synthetic oil for the Dodge Viper and of the high performance SRT models for Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep®.

Marketing Manager for Mopar Bill Steel was pleased to announce this new arrangement between these longtime business partners. “We’ve had such close ties for many years in the corporate world it seems right that Mobil 1 now joins us in a program that we’ve participated in so successfully over the years. The Mobil 1 name has been part of different racing series and we’re very excited to have them joining the Mopar family in the CASCAR Super Series.”

The leader of Beauchamp Motorsports, Ron Beauchamp Sr. is also excited to see Mobil 1 in the CASCAR Super Series. “I’ve been a fan of Mobil 1 for a long time” said the respected engine builder. “We’ve always found the quality to be what we’re looking for in our race engines and I’m glad to see them join the Mopar family.”

The CASCAR Super Series is the only National Stock Car Racing series with events scheduled this year at famed oval tracks including Delaware Speedway & Cayuga Speedway along with road courses and temporary street circuits like the Toronto Indy.
