ARCA: Late-race wreck denies Frank Kimmel a Salem Victory

SALEM, IN (April 24, 2005) - Driving the Advance Auto Parts Ford Taurus sponsored by Pork, Frank Kimmel finished the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 in seventh place today at Salem Speedway in the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

Kimmel started the race on the third row after qualifying fifth in Pork Pole Award Qualifying. The Indiana driver quickly took the lead on lap 34 and stayed on top until his first pit stop of the day mid-way in the race.

Frank regained the lead at lap 171 of the 200-lap event before being wrecked on lap 198, only two laps away from taking the checker flag.
