KARTING: Barrie GP back on... confirmed by Paul Cooke of ASN Canada FIA

BARRIE, ON (April 19, 2005) – Last night, the City of Barrie Council gave final approval for the Barrie Karting Grand Prix.

Cameron Motorsport's Bob Cameron and ASN Canada's Paul Cooke were in Barrie today to meet with city officials to begin the process of planning for this important karting event.

"It was with a sense of pride that we drove together to Barrie this morning to meet with the city officials", said Bob Cameron. "We were warmly received. We have all worked together to accomplish our goal of preserving this important Canadian karting event. Cameron Motorsports is pleased to continue presenting the karting community with top quality products."

“ASN Canada FIA was relieved when we heard this morning that Barrie's Council gave final approval to the 2005 event", said Paul Cooke. "One never knows until the official word comes down. We will fully support Cameron Motorsports and their team in the presentation of the Sunoco Ron Fellows Karting Championship at Barrie and we hope that this is the start of a long presence in Barrie."
