By Steve YoungBROCKVILLE, ON - Local racing fans can get their first preview of the 2005 racing season this week in Brockville. Brockville Ontario Speedway will present its annual car show at the Thousand Islands Mall in Brockville.The show begins on Thursday, April 7 and runs through Sunday, April 10th closing out with a special driver autograph session on Sunday from 1 to 3 pm. Among the cars expected to be on display at the mall are the 358 Modifieds of Defending Track Champion Danny O Brien along with his brother Pat, Stephane LaFrance, Mark Hitchcock, newcomer John Lazore, Billy Cook and fan favourite Adam Moore.
There will be a number of Sportsman cars in the show as well as both classes benefit from the new DIRT mandated crate motors that are available locally through Rockway Pontiac.
The stars of the future will also be on hand with their go-karts that will run at the fast quarter mile every Wednesday night throughout the season. The show will run from 10 to 9 on Thursday and Friday, Saturday from 9 to 5 and 11 to 5 on Sunday. The Speedway will also hold it's 2004 Awards Banquet on Saturday evening at CJ's Banquet Hall.
