THOROLD, ONTARIO … Race Fans can look forward to a Big night of DIRT-sanctioned excitement at Merrittville Speedway as SMS Machine presents the season’s first Demolition Derby Saturday June 17th.In preparation for June 24th’s Bobcat of Buffalo Patriot Sprint Group visit presented by David Chevrolet Corvette, many of the local Sprint Car Drivers will be in attendance – looking for the home track advantage.
Also joining the show on the 17th is the Ball Hockey International Poster Contest that was originally scheduled for June 3rd.
“With the Sprint Cars … the Poster Contest … the Demo Derby and the 5 Dirt Weekly Racing Series Divisions,” relates (Merrittville GM) Erica Bicknell, “ race fans are in for quite a night and it’s still $10 for Adults … you can’t go wrong.”
The Demolition Derby will close out the Weekly Racing Series action that only the 358 Modifieds, Sportsmen, Dwarf Cars, Hoosier Stocks and 4 Cylinders can provide on the Thorold track’s tricky d-shaped clay oval.
