Karts Featured In Rare Monday Night Show

Thorold, Ontario … “ Last year’s Performance Manufacturing Slack Performance Karts initial event was a real success,” relates (GM) Erica Bicknell, adding, “ but it was suggested that the Burris Tire 50/Twenty Five Special would flourish at a different part of the season … with July 4th falling on a Tuesday, Monday July 3rd’s scheduled date we think will allow US and Canadian a better opportunity to travel.”

While he 2006 Kart Weekly Racing Series Schedule at the Thorold Track stages it’s events on Tuesday Nights – all divisions will see action in the special night – the Drummond Home Hardware Novice, RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1, Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2, KC Auto Parts Superior PetroFuels Junior Restricted Heavy and the Philbrick Farm & Garden Equipment Senior Medium Original Pizza Logs divisions.

The Novice Feature will be 20 laps; all Junior Classes will run 25 lap events while the Senior Mediums will go 50 laps. Entry fees for Novice is $5, all Junior Classes $30 and for Senior it is $50 with Pit Passes at $10 each.

The Senior Medium 50 lap event will pay the winner $500 and will pay back to 10th spot. For the Junior Divisions a purse structure will be used based on the number of entries. All Entry Fees and purse payouts are in Canadian Funds.

Gates will open Monday July 3rd at 3 PM with a Mandatory Drivers Meeting set for 5:30. After warm-ups, Heat Races will begin at 6 PM.
