CASCAR: JACOMBS READY FOR ST. EUSTACHE-EVENT TWO ON THE SCHEDULE

Hamilton, ON: Dave Jacombs and his #88 Lou's BBQ/CPS Flooring Ford Taurus team are ready for another short track battle this Saturday June 10th at Autodrome St. Eustache just north of Montreal.

The CASCAR 200 is the second event of the eleven race schedule for the CASCAR Super Series in 2006. "This place holds a lot of memories for us - some good and some bad", stated Jacombs.

"We have had a lot of success here with several top five finishes and we like to run here. But it is also the scene of one of the lowest points in my racing career when our race hauler with all of our equipment and race car was stolen from a hotel parking lot before the race in August of 2000. The good in all of that was the CASCAR family of teams rallied around us and loaned us everything we needed to help us wrap up our run to third in the Eastern Point Standings that day. You know when something bad like this happens it makes you proud to be part of such a great group of people."

The second event of the 2006 CASCAR season takes place tomorrow with CASCAR practice from 5 - 6:00 p.m., Time Trials at 6:45 p.m. and the green flag drops on the CASCAR 200 at 9:00 p.m.

A full slate of home series races will be featured as well. Unofficial Point Standings: 1. #4 Don Thomson Jr. 2. #22 Scott Steckly 3. #10 Doug Brown 4. #84 J.R. Fitzpatrick 11. #88 Dave Jacombs

Race number one - the Go-Racing.ca 300 from Barrie Speedway in which the #88 Lou's BBQ/CPS Flooring team finished 10th will air on Sportsnet Saturday June 10th at 3:00 p.m. EST. Please check your local listings for more details.
