IRL boss Tony George responded to reports that a deal was all but completed between he and ChampCar's Kevin Kalkhoven by saying that the story was "entirely fabricated." George continued, to an Indianapolis TV station, "It's so far from being close to being done, it's not even worth talking about... That is a story entirely fabricated by the people who wrote (it)."
