Delaware, ON - The McCullough Motorsports racing team headed to Delaware Speedway on Friday June 23, 2006 with the #39 David McCullough Hosie D's Donuts / Ross Welding / Boswood Homes / BRITE SITE / Carl's Used Cars and Trucks / Hugh McKellar / BOC Gases POWERADE Modified for another night of exciting racing at Delaware Speedwat located only minutes away from London Ontario.
Glencoe native David McCullough started in the 4th position for the 10 lap Heat race. After the 10 laps of hard racing driver David McCullough picked up one position and finished 2nd in his Qualifying heat race.
The finish from the Heat races determine the starting line up for the 25 lap Feature Race. Since McCullough qualified well in his heat race he got to start in the 4th position for the feature event.
At the drop of the green flag McCullough started his charge to the front of the 17 car field. Within laps David McCullough moved up into the third position and was pressuring the #7 of Rob Starr for the second position but was unable to advance further than the 3rd position by the end of the 25 lap race. The race was won by the #3 of Jamie Cox followed by the #7 of Rob Starr and #39 of McCullough was third.
The team's next event is at Delaware Speedway in two weeks, on Friday July 7th along with the Kendall Motor Oil Street Stocks for their annual "Showdown Races" and the Challenger Motor Freight Trucks. Racing starts at 8 P.M. Sharp!
