BOWMANVILLE, ON (June 18, 2006) – Kerry Micks powered the Trailers by Jim Bray-sponsored 2006 Micks Motorsports Ford Taurus to his first win of the CASCAR Super Series season in Sunday afternoon’s Clarington 200 presented by Canadian Shield Anti Crime Response Corporation at Mosport International Raceway.

“The car was awesome all weekend, we had loads of power and the team was excellent,” said veteran Micks, 45, from Mt. Albert. “The win pushed our team into the lead of the CASCAR Super Series championship points.”

The win on the Mosport 2.5-mile, 10-turn road course in Bowmanville, Ontario, is second consecutive win on a road course for Micks following his Molson Indy triumph in Toronto last season.

Starting third in the 31-car field, Micks took the lead on lap 32 of the 51-lap contest, and maintained the point for his victory.

“This team has everything it takes to win the championship with the exception of a primary sponsor,” added Micks. “It takes a considerable amount of financing to field one of these race teams and we are very thankful for Trailers by Jim Bray helping us this weekend.”
