Apparently, curlers and skiers aren't buying enough cars. Maybe they should get back into racing. Hmmmmm

The Globe & Mail has a story on how GM Canada is losing market share.

Meanwhile, DaimlerChrysler Canada - huge supporters of car racing in Canada - are seeing sales go through the roof. Coincidence?

TORONTO — General Motors of Canada continues losing market share to competitors as the auto industry's volume leader struggles to swear off profit-sapping incentive deals and fleet sales.

GM said Thursday its May sales declined 2.9 per cent from a year earlier to 44,361.

....

Chrysler said it gained 21.4 per cent to 24,430 as its sales of passenger cars surged 36 per cent while truck sales rolled up 18 per cent.
