May 1, 2006. Ron Beauchamp Jr. and the Mopar Parts team had their Dodge Charger on track at Barrie Speedway recently for the annual Mopar Day for all affiliated teams with the Dodge and Mopar Brands.

Mopar Day is an annual event organized by the Mopar Parts Division at Daimler Chrysler to bring all of the Team Mopar family together for all of the pre season necessities like picture taking and releasing details about the 2006 Dodge and Mopar contingency program, the largest contingency program in CASCAR Racing with up to $250,000.00 in awards possible.

“This is always a fun day” said Ron Beauchamp Jr. “We get a chance to catch up with some of the other drivers we haven’t maybe seen for a while, swap a few stories and the of course the afternoon always allows us a little time on the race track to run some laps.”

Following last years success where Ron Beauchamp Jr. and Team Mopar claimed victory in two events including the season opening Mopar 250 expectations are even higher. “With the changes to the schedule this year adding more road courses we know we’ve got to step up our program” stated the driver. “We’re having a new road course car built to our specifications and it will be ready for the first race at Mosport.”

Ron Beauchamp Jr. and Team Mopar will spend the next few weeks preparing the cars and practicing pit stops and of course be on track for more testing prior to the first race of the 2006 CASCAR season at Barrie Speedway on May 21st. Included with this release is a photo of the #60 Mopar Parts Charger with the new paint scheme for 2006.

The CASCAR Super Series is the only National Stock Car Racing series with events scheduled this year at great oval tracks including Kawartha Downs and & Cayuga Speedway along with road courses and temporary street circuits like the Grand Prix of Edmonton & Trois Rivieres.
