May 17, 2006. Ron Beauchamp Jr. and the Mopar Parts team are completing final preparations on their Dodge Charger for the first race of the 2006 CASCAR Super Series racing season set to take place this coming weekend at Barrie Speedway.

Following months of meticulous work the team is now fine tuning the car and setting the plan for what is always a grueling summer race schedule. “We want to have exactly the same kind of start as last year” beamed Ron Beauchamp Jr. “Winning the first race of the season with such a dominating car last year really put us in the right frame of mind to start the year off. With this first race being at one of the few tracks we had trouble at, and with the changes to the schedule, we’re even more determined to get off on the right footing”.

The 2006 CASCAR Super Series schedule is substantially different from previous seasons. CASCAR is returning to road races in Edmonton Alberta and Trois Rivieres, Quebec, plus there will be two races at Barrie Speedway

“The car we had for the Barrie race last year handled fine, but it’s just the track is so tight in corner four that with any sort of traffic around you it’s easy to get bumped and into trouble”.

Action begins at Barrie Speedway for the CASCAR Super Series on Saturday May 20th with time trials and 50 lap heat races. The 250 lap main event takes place on Sunday May 21st. You can get more information and directions by logging onto www.barriespeedway.com.
