Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia, May 14, 2006 – Team Jebsen's Darryl O'Young grabbed double victory this weekend, clinching Rounds 3 & 4 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia at Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit, and immediately dedicating his double wins to his mother on mothers day. O'Young is proving almost unbeatable with three wins out of four races so far this season.

On Saturday, O'Young qualified 0.2 seconds behind Shinichi Yamaji of Tomo Racing, leaving him in 2nd position and starting from the front row for race 1 on Sunday.

In race 1, O'Young got off to a fantastic start managing to squeeze between Yamaji and the wall down the front straight to take over the lead into turn one.

Said O'Young: "I got a really good start and managed to get my front end right beside Yamaji's rear so that he could not come down to defend. I was able to brake deeper going into turn one and hold the position. I drove near perfect laps from the start and I built up most of my gap (to the rest of the field) in the first three laps and just focused on being consistent.
In the middle of the race, I decided to just keep the pace. I think the others closed in a little, but not very much." O'Young had actually built up a more than comfortable gap of almost six seconds by the flag.

It was a perfect lights to chequered victory for O'Young, with Cref Motorsports' Keita Sawa of Japan finishing second, and Matthew Marsh of Gates GR Asia finishing third. Sawa was later penalised putting him 10 positions down the order for colliding with Yamaji while overtaking. This victory gave O'Young the championship lead over Shinichi Yamaji of Japan.

In Race two, O'Young started on pole due to his result in the previous race. O'Young lost the lead to Marsh off the start, only regaining it on the 8th lap of the 10-lap race. The pair enjoyed the duel as Marsh drove an extremely tactical race. O'Young was pacing quicker, but could not find a way passed Marsh in the fierce battle.

"This race was a lot tougher (than Round 3). Matthew drove well and defended well. I was being as patient as possible behind him, then he got on the throttle a little hard when his tires were going away and his back end came out a little, that gave me the opportunity to overtake him in turn 2." said Team Jebsens driver O'Young.

O'Young claimed his second victory of the weekend, with Matthew Marsh in second, and Kazuyuki Nishizawa of Tomo Racing on the final podium spot.
These wins give O'Young a commanding 12 point lead in the championship going into Rounds 5 & 6 in Beijing, China.

"Team Jebsen has really pulled together this year to continue to give me a great car to put in these results. I'd like to thank God, and all my sponsors: Porsche Hong Kong, Taiwan Secom, Blue Girl Beer, Rollei, Puma, Manhattan Macau, and Auto Art. I will focus on each race weekend, one by one, and hope I can continue to open up the championship lead throughout the season."
