Sparks, Nevada. (May 19, 2006) – They said it couldn’t be done. How could the RT4009WHRV seat be refined? After all, Racetech had developed the “Viper” seat to set the standard in composite seat safety, and the seat had blown away the standard FIA crash test rating by passing 45 g’s at Chrysler’s test center.
Crash test data and research by the race industry’s top experts in race safety had a hand in designing the state of the art side impact enhanced composite shell.
Well, it’s been done. This new RT9119WHR model is a full Kevlar/carbon fiber model that basically cuts the weight down to approximately ten pounds, and is FIA homologated. This seat is made for the “larger” than svelte driver. Racetech is now taking pre-orders for August delivery from New Zealand.
