CASCAR: Top-ten finish for Kerry Micks at Barrie Speedway

BARRIE, ON (May 22, 2006) – Kerry Micks drove the Two-Tyme Recycling & Disposal 2006 Micks Motorsports Ford to a sixth place finish at the GO-RACING.CA 300 CASCAR Super Series race on Monday at Barrie Speedway.


“A top-ten finish coupled with a win in the Saturday qualifier is a great way to start the CASCAR Super Series season,” said veteran Kerry Micks 45, from Mt. Albert. “I’m really proud of my team for all of their hard work and for sticking with our team.”

Scott Steckly won the GO-RACING.CA 300 followed closely by Don Thomson Jr. in second and J.R. Fitzpatrick in third.

“It was no surprise that lapped traffic was a little difficult to deal with,” added Micks. “The support from Two-Tyme Recycling & Disposal at Barrie and our finishes on the weekend was a very positive start to the season.”

Micks finished the 2005 season in seventh position with four top-three podium finishes, including a win at the Molson Indy in Toronto and at Autodrome St-Eustache in St-Eustache, QC.
