CASCAR SS: Sprint races

Don Thomson Jr. started on the outside of the front row in the first 50-lapper at Barrie Speedway on Saturday night and jumped past polesitter Mark Dilley on the way into turn 1...and never looked back on his way to the checkered flag.

Dilley finished second, ahead of Peter Gibbons, Brad Graham, Kerry Micks, Dave Whitlock, Dave Jacombs, Kent Nuhn, Jason Hathaway, John Fitzpatrick and Joey McColm.

The skies opened up prior to the start of the 2nd 50-lapper, ending the action for the night.

UPDATED: The starting field for Sunday's MOPAR Canada Day 300 will be based on the time trial results.
