Sick of others grabbing its glory when it invented the whole hot hatch thing,
Volkswagen has come up with the
Polo GTi Cup.

Looking similar to the standard Polo GTi, the Cup has larger front and rear spoilers, 17in alloy wheels and red brake callipers for its uprated brakes.
The 1.8-litre engine has been tuned to deliver 178bhp and 173lb ft of torque.
The increase in power helps the Polo Cup manage 0-62mph in 7.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 141mph.
No word on when it will come to the UK, but it will sell in Germany for the equivalent of £15,700.
