Inside Track Releases 2006 Canadian Speedway Guide
Popular aid for race fans now in its ninth year
TORONTO, ON - For the ninth time in as many years, Inside Track Communications has released its annual Canadian Speedway Guide, included free in every copy of the May 2006 issue of Inside Track Motorsport News.
“Every winter I consistently get phone calls or emails from readers and race fans asking when the new Canadian Speedway Guide will hit newsstands,” Inside Track Motorsport News Editor-in-Chief Greg MacPherson said. “It’s amazing just how popular it has become over the years.
We hear stories about how the Speedway Guide spends the summer in racing fans’ glove boxes, and that by the end of the racing season it’s dog-eared and worn out. We often hear from people who are fans of one type of racing, but who have enjoyed broadening their horizons by attending a different type of motorsport than they usually do.”
The 2006 Canadian Speedway Guide features up-to-date schedules of nearly every track across Canada, from Avondale Speedway in Newfoundland to Western Speedway in British Columbia and everything in between. Also included are detailed schedules for U.S. Border Tracks like Ransomville Speedway in New York State or Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
As well, the event dates of major and minor Canadian racing series like CASCAR, the Canadian Rally Championship and the WESCAR Stock Car Series are included in the 2006 Canadian Speedway Guide, along with a similar selection of popular International race organizations such as NASCAR, the Champ Car World Series and the American Le Mans Series.
Rounding out the guide, there are also sections devoted to Canadian Motorcycle and Karting tracks and series.
As a bonus, for those fans interested in learning how to participate in the on-track entertainment, the 2006 Canadian Speedway Guide includes information from six of Canada’s top racing schools everything from stock cars to road racing and rallying are featured, giving potential rookie competitors or veteran racers a broad selection of venues and disciplines to choose from.
The 2006 Canadian Speedway Guide, along with the May 2006 (Volume 10, Issue 3) Inside Track Motorsport News, will be mailed to subscribers by mid-April, and should hit newsstands not long after.
