THOROLD, ONTARIO … Merrittville Speedway opened the month of June with two drivers – Dave DiPietro and Mat Williamson earning their third straight wins respectively in the Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2 and KC Auto Parts Junior Restricted Light Original Pizza Logs Divisions – June 7.
Tyler Walker also won his third event in four starts in the RCM Racing Equipment Original Pizza Logs Junior 1 Division.
Two Drivers earned their second wins of the season also. Ron Spatorico earned his second Philbrick Farm & Garden Equipment Senior win of the season while Erick Rudolph won his second straight event in the Best Fuels & Lubricants Junior Restricted Heavy Division.
First time 2005 starter Ryan Teeto had appeared to be the winner of the Original Pizza Logs Junior Heavy Event but was disqualified after failing post-race tech with bad fuel, handing the win to Rudolph.
Finally in Original Pizza Logs Novice action, Burris Tire Heat Winners were Travis Majuery, Matt Vann and Josh McPherson.
Racing continues with Tuesday June 14th. Gates open at 5:00 with racing beginning at 7:00. Grandstand admission is free.
