SHAW MOTORSPORTS: SHAW DEBUTS A NEW LOOK FOR THE 2006 SEASON

GUELPH, ON - With the familiar green Mustang leading the way, Jason Shaw and his Shaw Motorsports team debuted their all new 2006 Ford Fusion Late Model at the 2006 Performance World Custom Car Show in Mississauga, ON. where they captured the ‘Best In Class’ Award.

The Shaw crew is looking to rid themselves of the bad luck that plagued them over much of last season so they constructed a brand new 2006 Spira Fire Protection / Del Metals Ford featuring the new 2006 Fusion body which replaces the usual Ford Mustang. Not left behind however is the familiar green Mustang silhouette which adorns the sides of the car.

With the Shouldice Stone Alstar Super Series unveiling a new format for 2006 which features 3 races over the course of the summer at the home track of Sauble Speedway, the Shaw Motorsports team is hoping that their all new look will launch them into victory lane and deliver them another Alstar Super Series championship. In addition to running the Alstar Series, the team will also be running across Ontario in the numerous ‘Special Events’ throughout the season.

Spira Fire Protection is back on board as the primary sponsor for 2006 with Del Metals also renewing their commitment, adorning the hood as secondary sponsor for another season.

National Fire Equipment has increased their sponsorship commitment for 2006 and will be featured prominently on the car this upcoming season. Nuco Inc. will also be joining the team this season. Their head office, research & development laboratory and manufacturing facilities are located in Guelph Ontario.

Shaw Motorsports and driver Jason Shaw deploy the #82 Ford Fusion out of Guelph, Ontario where they will be competing in the Shouldice Stone Alstar Super Series in addition to numerous races across Ontario. More information is available at www.spira.on.ca/shaw and www.alstarseries.com
