SHOULDICE ALSTAR SERIES: Next Event: Mosport Speedway June 11

The next event for the Shouldice ALSTAR Late Model Series takes place Saturday night (June 11) at Mosport Speedway.

SCHEDULE:

Pit Gate Opens at 3p.m.

Practice: 3:30 to 5:30

Racing starts at 6 p.m.

Autograph Session: 8:30

75 LAP FEATURE RACE: Green Flag at 8:55 p.m.

After a one-race hiatus, the internet radio broadcasts will be back online again for this Saturday night's race at Mosport (www.radioowensound.com), as well as on AM 560 CFOS for those within radio range of Owen Sound.

Heading into Race #3 at Mosport, veteran Late Model driver Derrick Tiemersma leads the point standings on the strength of a pair of podium finishes in the season's first two events.

TIEMERSMA QUOTE: "I’m leading the points, but I’m not even paying attention to that right now. I was leading last year and that’s when I started having engine woes. I’m just going racing right now and not worrying about the points. I’ve had two podium finishes so far and now I’m looking for the win."
