New Brunswick International Speedway: Races Rescheduled

NBIS has moved the Enduro 200 scheduled for Sunday, June 12th to October 2nd. This event was originally scheduled for May 23rd, but was rained out and re-scheduled for this coming weekend. NBIS felt that the new date was lost in a flurry of changes to the NBIS schedule.

Due to a significant number of rainouts in May, NBIS was forced to move events around on the schedule. However, with the exception of the Enduro moved to June 12th and a regular points race re-scheduled for later in the summer, it was a case of swapping events on already scheduled dates. After some deliberation and consideration of the number of changes, NBIS Management feels that moving the Enduro to June 12th was too short a timeline to re-schedule an event on a completely new date.

NBIS co-owner Steven Burns explained that the change is another outgrowth of a
difficult start to the season. "It's not normally difficult to move to another rain
date. However, given the number changes to the schedule, we felt that the new date was lost in the shuffle." Burns added, "That's not fair to the Enduro fans and drivers.

Burns said that the re-scheduled Enduro was different that most of the changes, "Most of the revisions to upcoming events in June or July occur on already scheduled race dates. For example, our regular fans know that we race every Saturday night, so now it's just a matter of clarifying what race they will be seeing. In retrospect, we felt that we didn't leave ourselves enough lead time to properly promote a completely new Enduro date like we did for new regular racing date re-scheduled to August."

Revision:
Enduro 200 will now take place on October, 2nd instead of June 12th.

First Enduro will be the July 2nd Enduro 200 as already scheduled.
