CASCAR: Micks and the PowerWater Ford.PERFECT!

Montreal, QC - The "Iron Man", Kerry Micks of Mt. Albert, drove the PowerWater 2005 Micks Motorsports Ford Taurus to the team's first win of the 2005 CASCAR Super Series season at Saturday's Whelen 200 at the Autodrome St-Eustache in Montreal, Quebec.

"Perfect," was the first response from Micks following his trip to Victory Circle. "This is exactly what we hoped to accomplish this weekend. The PowerWater Ford was awesome."

Micks started the Whelen 200 on the third row after qualifying in fifth position at Autodrome St-Eustache. By lap 26 he moved into third around the tight 4/10ths-mile flat asphalt oval and by lap 52 was in second position. Micks carefully manoeuvred into the lead on lap 118 and held off second-place finisher D.J. Kennington and Ron Beauchamp in third for the win.

"Our start to the season left a little to be desired at the opening race at Delaware. Our goal was to win here and get back into the Championship points chase, at least the top five. The team worked hard and we were fortunate to accomplish both of our goals," added Micks.

The next CASCAR Super Series race of the season will take place Saturday and Sunday, June 18-19 at Mosport International Raceway located north of Bowmanville, Ontario on the 2.5-mile, 10-turn road course.
