LUCAS OIL WWS: Inside Track signs on as WWS contingency sponsor

MISSISSAUGA, ON – The Lucas Oil Weekend Warrior Series (WWS) is excited to announce its first promotional partnership. In keeping with its core mandate to support grassroots Canadian motorsports, Inside Track Motorsport News has committed to a major contingency sponsorship deal with the Lucas Oil WWS.

The program will see cash awarded to the top 10 Late Model / Limited Late Model points finishers at the seven participating WWS tracks. On top of that, Inside Track will award money to the top-five points finishers, in at least two other racing divisions, at all seven Lucas Oil WWS tracks.

The Inside Track cash bonuses will be in addition to any existing points fund programs already in place at the respective Speedways, as well as the $102,000 Lucas Oil points fund. The program is to be administered by Paxton Motorsports Marketing, the firm that manages the Lucas Oil WWS.

“The Lucas Oil WWS is one of the most exciting things to happen to Canadian motorsports in years,” said Inside Track co-publisher Rob Morton. “The program is geared toward grassroots Saturday night stock car racers; the lifeblood of our magazine. We’re very proud to be associated with the Weekend Warrior Series and to jump on at the ground floor of this exciting new program. We’d like to thank all the racers, Lucas Oil and Paxton Motorsports for their continued support of Inside Track.”

In addition to the contingency program, Inside Track will also be providing extensive coverage of the racing at every Lucas Oil WWS host-track. The reports, which will appear in every issue of Inside Track, will include race reports, driver and fan profiles, as well as other track news.

WWS administrator Josh Paxton said, “Inside Track is the leader when it comes to covering grassroots Canadian motorsports, and they are especially strong in terms of coverage at the seven participating WWS tracks. So it’s only natural that we would turn to them as a contingency and editorial partner for the Lucas Oil WWS. Our goal is to raise the profile of the sport and we look forward to working with Inside Track to reach that goal.”

Entering its inaugural season, the Lucas Oil WWS is based at participating Ontario short track ovals: Lucas Oil Flamboro Speedway, Peterborough Speedway, Kawartha Speedway, Delaware Speedway, Sunset Speedway, Barrie Speedway and Mosport Speedway.
