PETERBOROUGH, ON – Within days of announcing that Peterborough Speedway will be hosting the 2005 edition of the Don Biederman Memorial OSCAAR Outlaw Super Late Model Series race, track promoter JP Josiasse announced plans for another historic event at his facility.

On Saturday, August 20, the 1/3-mile, high-banked oval will play host to a pair of CASCAR races; a 100-lap CASCAR Sportsman Series race and a 200-lap CASCAR Super Series race. It will be the first time ever that the two series have competed at the same track on the same day.

“These are two really good races and we think it will be a great show for the fans to have them both at Peterborough Speedway on the same day,” Josiasse told Inside Track.

Until today, Peterborough Speedway did not have a firm date on the 2005 Super Series schedule. The track has hosted a pair of Super Series races in each of the past two seasons, all of which have produced excellent racing and large crowds.
