Whelen is also a household name to race fans across America. Whelen is the title sponsor of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the Official Licensed Warning Lights of NASCAR. The company also provides emergency lights for safety vehicles, tracks and pace cars for ASA, ARCA, IRL, CART, IROC, SCCA, The World of Outlaws, and now for CASCAR.

In addition to a season-end award, a cash award will be made available in Whelen's name for each Championship points event in the CASCAR Super Series, Sportsman Series, and Western Series.

The CASCAR Super Series is Canada's top level of stock car racing, with events held in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, and British Columbia. Over 150 race teams across the country compete in CASCAR's three series': the Western Series, Sportsman Series, and the Super Series.
