News & Notes

Nice to see the oil companies putting back some of their massive profits into infrastructure maintenance..... not.

In positive news, Keith Hepburn reports that the Second Annual ALSTAR Charity Ride 'Ride with Us Tour 2" was a huge success on the weekend.

Greetings All:
As the ALSTAR Charity Ride Event Co-ordinator, it pleases me so much to announce that the ALSTAR Charity Ride, "Ride With Us Tour...2" for "The War Amps" has been a success for the second time in its second year of operation.
When the totals of the day's fundraisings had been accumulated, we were very happy to announce that the grand total of money collected at the "Ride With Us Tour...2" for "The War Amps" was $15,000.00.
This grand total could not have been made possible without the support & assistance of a good number of great people & organizations.
There are so many people, groups, organizations and supporters to thank that I'm afraid of naming & missing one of these great associates but "A tip my cap" has to go to Joe & Sue Chisholm, owners of Steelback Sauble Speedway who not only donated their facilities for this event but also assisted behind the scenes tremendously as well as monetary.
The Southern Cruisers Motorcycle Club, Bruce Peninsula Chapter # 370, who not only supported this event through their club website but showed up in a physical presence to show us their support and to take leadership of a group through the days event.
The Red Knights Firefighter Motorcycle Club, Ontario Chapter # 3, for their leadership in the days ride & for being our "Guardian Angels" for this event.
"The War Amps", what can I say but "Thank You" for what you have done for so many people since 1920. They are such a class organization that has done & continues to do so much goodness for so many people that I feel I am fortunate to be associated with them for this single day event.
To the countless other people, groups & organizations that supported this event, "A big Thank You" from the bottom of my heart. Again this could not have been possible without your involvement.

Sincerely: Keith HepburnALSTAR Charity Ride Event Co-ordinator
