CASCAR: Jeff Lapcevich will drive for Carhartt!

ARNPRIOR, ON – RaceSportz is proud to announce that veteran driver Jeff Lapcevich will pilot the Carhartt Clothing Cascar Super Series car for the balance of the 2006 season.

With his strong road racing background, Jeff Lapcevich has dominated the road courses in CASCAR Super Series competition for last few years including six road course wins and a sweep of the road courses in 2004.

“We’re excited to have Jeff behind the wheel, Jeff has a number of victories in the last few years including the Griddly Headz 100 from Edmonton race this year as well as a numerous top 5 finishes” states owner Dave Connelly.

Jeff will sport the Carhartt colours on his car starting at the Grand Prix du Montreal race on August 25th,26th, and 27th. “Obviously it’s great timing to have Jeff behind the wheel going into the Montreal event, he’s certainly one of the favourites to win, but the real goal for the balance of the season is to get set for a championship run in 2007,” continued Connelly.

“I'm really happy to be carrying the Carhartt colours on my Tim Hortons/EMCEA Transport car. As a journeyman electrician myself, I've worn my share of Carhartts and know that their quality is second to none. I'm thrilled to have the chance to help get them to the Cascar podium. I'd like to thank Dave Connelly, D.J Kennington, and everyone at Carhartt for this opportunity," said Lapcevich.

The Carhartt car will continue to be supported by DeWALT, the United Association of Journeyman and Apprentices, Praxair, and Miller Welding Equipment. Along with these companies Jeff’s longtime sponsors will be on the car including Tim Horton’s, EMCEA Transport, Gates, Springer’s Meats, Troy Cove Marine, and B&J Electric.
