Just heard
Cayuga Speedway Park president Jerry Santucci on the radio, talking about this weekend's Labour Day Classic Race Weekend at his track. During his conversation, he confirmed that major renovations on the facility
will not commence immediately following this weekend's action at the 5/8-mile speedway.
Rather, Santucci said that the track will be open for a full slate of racing under its current configuration in 2007, with the big construction now scheduled to take place in 2008. He cited planning and permit delays for the setback.
