CARQUEST Auto Parts announces second year as title sponsor to Barrie Speedway’s Late Models

Barrie Speedway is very proud to announce CARQUEST CANADA as our premier Late Model Division Points sponsor for 2006.

CARQUEST will also be hosting our shows on both July 15 and the Barrie Automotive Fall Flea Market weekend, September 9th. Both will feature 100-laps of CARQUEST Late Model racing.

“We’re very excited to have CARQUEST back onboard for a second year”, states Speedway promoter Brad Moran. “Associating the Barrie Late Models with a brand as recognizable and highly-respected as CARQUEST really sets us apart. CARQUEST is involved in some of the uppermost levels of racing and we’re thrilled that they’ve selected our Late Model division to be a part of it.”

“You can’t build great racing without great sponsorship and at Barrie Speedway we’ve had amazing corporate support”, says Moran, “and obviously CARQUEST has been a big part of that.”

Richard Racette of CARQUEST Canada emphasizes Barrie’s commitment to racing.

"Many factors have attracted us to Barrie Speedway for a second season; the dynamic atmosphere of the facility and Barrie Speedway's proven commitment to racing, innovative television coverage and the opportunity to meet thousands of CARQUEST Racing fans”, says Racette.

CARQUEST is a tremendous supporter of racing across North America, including NASCAR’s premier divisions, and also promote some of the best Late Model racing in Ontario. Barrie Speedway’s CARQUEST Late Models won first, second and fourth in the WWS last season, delivering the most exciting racing battles at home and at tracks all across Ontario.

CARQUEST race reports are also featured monthly in Canada’s premiere motorsports publication, Inside Track.

In addition to their support of racing, CARQUEST is involved in a number of charitable works. CARQUEST Auto Parts is proud to be the Premier International Partner of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. The Torch Run supports a wide variety of local fund raising activities with CARQUEST, with 100% of all local funds remaining in the province where they are raised.
