WIN $500 FRIDAY IN Q104 KART RACES AT SCOTIA SPEEDWORLD

HALIFAX, NS (2005 June 2) - You could win $500 at Scotia Speedworld on Friday night, complements of Q104 FM and Hatfield Farm. A special Q104 promotion will see eight lucky fans compete in go-kart races with a grand prize of $500 cash. Karts are being supplied by Kartbahn.

Six Q104 listeners will be pre-qualified and another two lucky competitors will be picked from the audience Friday night. There will be two five lap heat races with four competitors each. The top two finishers from each heat will transfer to the five lap feature and the winner of the feature gets the $500.

The Q Cops will be on hand distributing ballots for those wishing to enter the Q104 Kart race (must be 16 or older to compete). Q104 Morning Show personality BJ Burke will be on hand to MC the Q104 Kart races.

Besides the Q104 Kart races, Friday night's show will see a full-slate of Budweiser Weekly Racing action featuring all five stock car divisions. Because of last weeks rainout this will be the first race in the quest for the 2005 division championship titles for the C&R Auto Supply Sportsman, Nova Automotive Hobby Stock, RV Contacts Legends and the Miller Tire BFGoodrich Thunder & Lightning divisions (2).

Join track announcer Mike Kaplan for prizes and fun in the Pepsi Pre-Race Show at 7 pm; racing starts at 7:30.Grandstand admission is just $12 for adults and $2 for youth aged 8-15. Children 7 and under are admitted free. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Pit admission is $15 and restricted to those 16 and older. HST is included in all admission prices.
