Sunset Speedway Official Website: "Thunder Cars Go 50 Laps This Weekend
The Thunder Cars of Kawartha, Mosport and Peterborough Speedways invade Sunset this weekend as Sunset's leg of the Thunder Car Coalition Invitationals hits the track.
The 'Battle Of The Tracks' consists of invitationals for Late Models and Thunder Cars at at each of the four tracks on a night when that class is off at the others, giving drivers the opportunity to try out different venues without affecting their home track points position.
Also on schedule will be our Sunset Late Models, Four Cylinders and Four Funs for a night of regular points racing - the action has been fast and furious as of late and the Late Models will surely be ready to get back to action after a week off. Spectator Races will run during the intermission.
And a reminder - this week will mark the start of pre-race qualifying for the Four Cylinders and Four Funs. Their first set of heats will get underway at 6:15pm, so be sure to get there early to catch the action."
