SHOULDICE ALSTAR: Rookie Dan Delisle Injured

Windsor, Ont. – ALSTAR rookie Dan Delisle driver of the #1 KFC/Morton Industrial Chevrolet was injured in a work related accident on Monday at his job in Windsor, Ontario. The LaSalle driver injured his right shoulder and has been sidelined from competition by his orthopaedic physician for an undetermined amount of time.

“I just can’t believe this, said the dejected driver. I feel terrible for my crew that has worked so hard to put us where we are now. The KFC/Morton Industrial Chevy was definitely going to challenge for the ALSTAR championship. Right now my doctor has me sitting out for a couple weeks and hopefully I can get back in the car after this short break”.

“We were ready for Mosport. We figured out our handling issues that seemed to creep up on us in the last two weeks and I know I had a shot at winning this race.”

“I spoke with my Team Manager last night, and he is speaking with our sponsors today as well as Joe Chisholm, President of the Shouldice ALSTAR Series, and we will determine if the car will seat another driver for the next couple weeks or if we just prepare the car for Peterborough(hopefully) later this month.”

Dan Delisle currently sits 1st in qualifying points and is currently only16 points out of first in championship points.
