June 10, 2005. Ever wonder what its like to drive one of those large transport trucks you see on the highway? Have you never had the opportunity to see a CASCAR Super Series race car up close? This Saturday, June 11th is your opportunity to experience both.
From 11AM to 3PM LE Walker Transport, sponsor of the #42 LE Walker Chevrolet driven by Sean Stafford in the CASCAR Super Series and Mid America Freight Systems will welcome those interested in learning about driving, both the large transport kind and the racing variety to their Ancaster, Ontario location on Hwy 52 just west of Hwy 2.
CASCAR pilot Sean Stafford will be on hand to sign autographs and meet with drivers and race fans, many of which are the same. "I drive these trucks, including our CASCAR hauler, it's a very exciting and challenging career opportunity" said Stafford. "Part of our responsibility to LE Walker a van carrier, and to Mid America Freight, a flatbed carrier, is to help them recruit top AZ class drivers, and I'm a guy who knows first hand what's involved in this type of career.
This is an off weekend for the CASCAR Super Series competitors. Competitors next hit the track to tackle the world class road course at Mosport International Raceway. "This is where I first raced in CASCAR and I'm really looking forward to going back their again" said the excited LE Walker Transport Chevrolet driver.
