Innisfil, ON (June 1, 2005) – Central Merchant Services driver Tara MacLeod and PowerWater Rookie of the Year contender in the CASCAR Super Series is optimistic about this Saturday's Autodrome St-Eustache Whelen 200.

“It should be a good weekend and I plan to have some fun,” said Tara MacLeod. “The fans are great at St-Eustache, and they really love their racing. I’ve never raced at the Autodrome, but I understand it’s interesting.”

Autodrome St-Eustache, a tight 4/10ths-mile flat asphalt oval, is located west of Montreal, Quebec.

“The guys have done a great job preparing the Central Merchant Services Ford for this weekend,” she added. “We’ve managed to come out of the first race at Delaware Speedway without too much damage along with a top-20 finish in our first race and I’m pleased with that.”

CASCAR Super Series practice is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. followed by time trial qualifying at 6:45 p.m. The Whelen 200 green flag drops at 9:00 p.m. EST. Under the team banner of MacLeod Racing, www.taramacleod.com, 32-year old Tara MacLeod has been a strong competitor on the Ontario short-tracks for the past 10 years, with several awards to her credit.

She has always wanted to step up her racing career, and is very enthused about competing in the entire coast-to-coast 12-race CASCAR Super Series and 2005 will mark her first year in CASCAR. MacLeod's Ford Taurus race cars are being prepared by Micks Motorsports of Mt. Albert, Ontario, under the leadership of Kerry Micks, veteran CASCAR Super Series competitor known as "The Iron Man."
