CASCAR: 22 Racing Season Preview

Milverton, ON. The countdown is on for the 2005 CASCAR Super Series season to open. The 22 Racing team has been hard at work in preparation for the season opening race at Delaware Speedway on Sunday, May 22.



The 22 Racing team is pleased to announce that International Truck and Engine Corporation has joined Scott Steckly in his quest for the 2005 CASCAR Super Series Championship. Participating International dealers are: ALTRUCK International Truck Centres with locations in Kitchener, Cambridge, Burlington, and Hamilton. Metro International Trucks with locations in Mississauga, and Concord, ON; and Metro Atlantic with locations in St. Laurent, and Les Coteaux, PQ; Moncton, NB; and Dartmouth, NS. Lewis Motor Sales with dealerships in Barrie, North Bay, Collingwood, and Newmarket, ON.

The 22 Race team is equipped with a new 2006 International 9900i tractor to pull the hauler across the country to each CASCAR Super Series events this season. Throughout the racing season the participating International dealerships will be holding customer appreciation Open Houses, which will be highlighted by an appearance from Scott Steckly and his 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix.

The Erb Group of Companies are returning as a major sponsor, along with support from Thermo King of Eastern Canada, CPL Systems, AW Millwrights, Jutzi Fuels, Commercial Babcock, Classy Collectibles, Twin City Graphics, Filtakleen, Duplicolor, Mr. Transmission (Guelph), and Stratford Motor Products.

In November, CASCAR announced that it was entering a multi-year strategic alliance with NASCAR. The agreement calls for NASCAR to lend operational and marketing expertise to the top Canadian stock car series.

You can cheer on Scott Steckly and the entire 22 Racing team at Delaware Speedway on May 22 for the 2005 CASCAR Super Series opener. It looks to be Scott’s most promising year in CASCAR.
