HELP A FRIEND OF RACING...

This was passed along by John Bisci, of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. John was a former resident of Western New York and was a longtime promoter of the winter indoor races at the Niagara Convention Center.

- Greg.

Just came to my attention that Mark Southcott is pretty sick. He's lost his job and, of course, his health insurance.

Mark has helped a lot of people, most recently provided stats for Bones Bourcier's "Richie!" book -- not to mention my in-progress, long-delayed book on Lancaster Speedway.

Many of us know Mark and enjoy his dedication to racing in N.Y. (operates the www.nyracezone.com website). He is in a position where he needs medicine that he cannot buy, and he is getting worse because of this.

Dan Kollander is willing to help us help Mark to get the medicine he needs, Mark does not know this has been set up and would be very humbled to know. If you would like to help Mark through this trouble, please feel free to send a check to:

Mark Southcott

c/o Dan Kollander // 1262 Indian Church Rd. // West Seneca, NY 14224

Please make checks payable to Mark. Dan will make sure all the money goes to Mark. I've always known racing people to help each other, and here's a very worthy recipient. I am going to do what I can – I hope you will too.
