LONDON — It is already being dubbed the
Ferrari fuzz model. It's the special
612 Scaglietti HGTS for
British police that made its debut in the U.K. as part of the Ferrari 60th anniversary relay.

The
special model has been provided for the police in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. But safety is the key here, not pedal-to-the-metal driving.
Ferrari says, "Various road safety messages will be highlighted including the danger and enforcement implications of using a mobile phone whilst driving." Of course, it will be hard for the men in blue to resist the allures of the
Scaglietti's 540-horsepower 5.7-liter V12. The car also features the Handling GTS package.
The
police livery features a Blu Tour de France exterior with a beige interior. Other details include Daytona-style seats, a yellow rev counter, yellow brake calipers and Scuderia Ferrari shields.
The car will lead the relay for 1,500 miles, from Belfast to London.
Ferrari notes that the participating cops are doing it "in their free time" to support the tour.
