NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The high-performance versions of the
Nissan Sentra, the
SE-R and
SE-R Spec V get a bump in price for the 2007 model year, as well as a boost in horsepower.
Nissan said the
Sentra SE-R will start at $20,015, including a $615 destination charge, while the SE-R Spec V will start at $20,515, including shipping.
The
2006 Nissan Sentra SE-R had a base price of $18,715, including destination and the '06 Sentra SE-R Spec V started at $18,915.
The
2007 Sentra SE-R is equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 177 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. That's 50 more horses than the previous model. The SE-R's engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission. The 2
007 Sentra SE-R Spec V comes standard with a modified 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 200 hp, 25 hp over the '06 model, and 180 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
Nissan said an optional helical limited-slip differential will add $400 to the bottom line, while a sunroof package adds another $750. Sirius or XM Satellite Radio costs $300 and floor mats and trunk mat add another $165.
Both high-performance
Sentra models get standard 17-inch wheels, antilock brakes, specially tuned electric power steering and unique front and rear fascias.
