Volkswagen of American said on Tuesday that a
Wolfsburg Edition Passat is now available at U.S. dealerships, priced at $27,630, including a $640 destination charge.
The automaker said the latest version of the
Passat "continues the tradition of offering value-priced special editions." It noted that "this special-edition Passat offers greater value" when compared to a similarly equipped non-
Wolfsburg Edition Passat.
Details of the
Wolfsburg Edition include a 200-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine linked to a six-speed automatic Tiptronic transmission. The vehicle gets 17-inch alloy wheels, a four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-wrapped gearshift knob and boot, 12-way power driver seat, six-disc in-dash CD with MP3 capability, heated front seats, power sunroof, foglights, heated windshield washer nozzles and Sirius Satellite Radio. Wolfsburg Edition" badging on the driver and passenger front quarter panels.
