Aston's going racing. Following success in the GT1 championship with the DBR9 and a good run at the Nurburgring 24 Hours in a modified Vantage, Aston has today shown us a sketch of its soon-to-arrive GT2 racer based on the V8 Vantage.
Somewhat unimaginatively, it's called
Aston Martin Vantage GT2.

Taking the same green-lipped gob as the
Vantage N24 that boiled James May all the way across the Alps, but adding a bunch more carbon fibre, wings and testosterone, the
Vantage GT2 certainly looks tough enough to take the fight to a race series traditionally dominated by Porsche and Ferrari.
Having successfully converted a DBRS9 to run on bioethanol earlier this year, Aston has developed the
Vantage GT2 to run on either standard race fuel or E85.
The car's introduction means Aston will have competitors in every GT race category. Let world domination commence.
