BRIGHTON SPEEDWAY RELEASES 39th ANNUAL SCHEDULE

BRIGHTON, ON - Set to begin its 39th season in operation, the 26th under the management of the Rinaldi Family, Brighton Speedway Park’s promoters have put together a schedule that is jammed with action packed, fast, furious and always entertaining grassroots motor sport racing.

Back by popular demand are the Southern Ontario Sprint Car, who will race on the 1/3 mile clay oval 6 times in 2006. Also making a return are the 358 DIRT Modifieds, Lawn mowers, Motorcross, Dirt Bikes, School Busses and Enduro Races. Once again the notorious Labour Day Classic Weekend is set to bring together race enthusiasts both young and old together in the spirit of dirt track competition.

Adding to the summer racing excitement are an increased number of inter track challenges. The Canadian Modified/IMCA Challenge Races and the Pro Stock Duel in the Dirt Series are sure to provide non-stop racing action for fans from all over Ontario and Upper New York State. Added this season, especially for the Comp 4 Class, is the Dirt/Asphalt Challenge (DAC).

4 cylinders will be racing on dirt in Brighton and on asphalt at Kawartha Speedway in Peterborough. Brighton Speedway Park fans will be cheering for home track drivers and local favourites, who are geared up to bring the titles home to the hottest family entertainment ticket in Northumberland County.

The regular weekly racing program, including the Bainer’s Radiator Canadian Modifieds, Brighton Automotive Pro Stocks, Bill’s Johns Comp 4 and Mister Signz Pure Stocks, is sure to keep the Coca-Cola Kids Club members and their families on the edge of their seats. To further enhance the family atmosphere, and get the kids home earlier, the green flag is now set to fly ½ an hour earlier at 7:00pm every Saturday night, from April to October.

The final schedule will be available Mid-March for pick up at various locations throughout Northumberland County, including Car Shows at Northumberland and Quinte Malls. A tentative schedule is now available at www.brightonspeedway.com.
