PREVIEW: “SIX STAR” AVONDALE NIGHT AT MERRITTVILLE WITH SECOND BRP 360 LATE MODEL VISIT AUGUST 18TH

Race Fans can look forward to quite a night of Dirt Track racing excitement Saturday August 18th when the BRP 360 Late Models make their second visit of 2007 to Merrittville Speedway to make up the Avondale Food Stores Six Star Racing Program.

“What more could you ask for,” boasts (Merrittville GM) Erica Bicknell, adding, “ there’s something for everyone … the Late Models will join our 5 divisions – it’ll be an exciting night and standing room only in the pits.”

In the first visit of the BRP 360 Late Models back on Victoria Day – defending champion Randy Hall took the Financial Care Group Monday Night Madness Feature – but the hottest driver of late is Jeff Cheseboro whose 3rd win of the year came August 4th in the Russ Prentice Memorial at Genesee Speedway.

Cheseboro currently holds a 31 point lead over Hall who he finished second to in the first visit to Thorold.

Between Genesee and Merrittville however there are two events scheduled – August 11th at Canandaigua and August 15th at McKean County Raceway in East Smethport Pennsylvania.

Technically there will be 7 divisions on the schedule August 11th – the 7th taking to the Kart Track as two of Merrittville Speedway’s young guns – Lucas Oil Open Wheel Lite Driver Andy Tallman taking on Hoosier Stock Rookie David Small in bikes.

After the event, the Tallman and Small Bikes will be given away to two younger race fans via a draw.
