MT. ALBERT, ONTARIO (August 9, 2007) – Kerry Micks returns to Mosport Speedway this weekend on a positive note in the Mick Motorsports Beyond Digital Imaging Ford Taurus. Micks took a decisive victory recently, winning on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Quebec last week.
“I hope our luck has finally turned around after our big win in Montreal,” said the Mount Albert, ON-based racer. “We’ve had a top runner capable of winning everywhere we’ve been this year, but luck has not been on our side.”
“We always run well at Mosport,” added the stock car racing veteran. “We had a second place finish there last year and won the year before. I can guarantee you one thing, we’re going to Mosport with the Beyond Digital Imaging Ford with one thing in mind, and that’s winning.”
Last week’s win, his first NASCAR Canadian Tire Series victory, moved Micks into seventh position in the Top 10 Driver Points in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.
The Full Throttle Energy Drink 200 presented by Canadian Shield Anticrime Response Corporation at Mosport Speedway is the seventh race in the 12-race NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Saturday, August 11.
Gates open at 2:00 p.m., time trials are set for 4:00 p.m., the driver autograph session that will get underway at 5:00 p.m. and the green flag for the Full Throttle Energy Drink 200 presented by Canadian Shield Anticrime Response Corporation drops at 7:00 p.m.
