Just as the French firm announces its new clean, green eco² range of cars, it's also come up with a track day calendar for its hot hatch models.
So, Renault makes amends for its carbon-frenzied, tyre-squealing track fun with cars that have low emissions, excellent economy and are very recyclable. You can currently pick from a Megane 1.5 dCi that runs on biodiesel or a 1.6-litre petrol-powered car that uses bioethanol, or the turbocharged Clio 1.4 TCE 100.
As for the Renaultsport track days, there are four UK events across the summer and a fifth day at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium.
You can turn up at any of these track days in your own car - even if it's not a Renault - and then you can sample the current range of Renault hot hatches.
Also on duty at the track days are a Clio V6 and Renaultsport Spider, which certainly gets our ying yanging.
