
The new Jaguar XF will be built at Jaguar's Advanced Manufacturing Centre at Castle Bromwich in Birmingham, U.K., the company said in a statement. It is being designed and developed at Jaguar's Product Development Centre at Whitley in Coventry.
"We are now moving on to the next stage of Jaguar's exciting new design era," said Bibiana Boerio, managing director of Jaguar Cars. "If you like the new XK, just wait until you see the new Jaguar XF."
The Jaguar S-Type made its public debut in 1998 before going on sale in 1999. Since the launch, 270,000 S-Types have been sold around the world. The S-Type shared its platform with the now-defunct Lincoln LS. The new car is not expected to be based on a revised version of the LS.
