Earlier this month, at the Istanbul show, Chery held a secret world premiere. To celebrate its entry to the Turkish market, the company presented the S16 WOW, which was first shown at the 2005 Shanghai Motor Show — but also a smaller hatch, called the S12 Kimo. The S12, powered by a 1.3-liter engine, was also shown at Beijing, but under the name A1.

Another newcomer that was one of the highlights of the Chery stand is the A3 concept.

It is again reportedly designed by Pininfarina. The rather cryptic press release hinted that it may be introduced next year with 1.3-, 1.6- and 2.0-liter engines — all of them belonging to Chery's ACTECO. Features mentioned include four airbags (two front, two curtain), ABS, ESP, satellite navigation, DVD player and electric windows.
Last but not least, a strangely named light commercial van was also shown. Called the Karry, it bears some similarity to the Volkswagen Caddy.
