In the middle of this year Audi has deduced to the public a stylish four-door hatchback A5 Sportback. Now in Frankfurt debuted all-wheel drive version – S5 Sportback.
S5 Sportback has received 3-litres "six" capacity of 333 horsepowers, developing 440 Nm. The motor turns wheels through familiar robotised box S tronic with two clutches. A drive gear on all wheels constant, interaxle and rear differentials blocked.
These pieces of iron have given the chance to be dispersed to "hundred" for 5,4 seconds. Maximum speed at level of 250 km/h, average fuel consumption – 9,7 litres on one hundred kilometres. The suspender is more rigid, and brakes are more hardy, than at the civil version. The interior too is a little another – the main difference armchair with more developed lateral support. The question price in Europe 57 900 euros.
Perhaps, the most unusual exhibit of a motor show in Frankfurt is the car under name Sparta which is made in Andorra. Yes-yes, in Andorra which too is included now into number of the states which assemble own cars.
It is not necessary to be frightened – a batch production Sparta is not planned. While this car in general is made in the single copy. And its founder is interesting enough person who is called by Helmut Hartung. Designing of this unique off-road car has begun in 1973. That is Helmut did the car of the dream throughout 36 years! And nevertheless has made.
The Andorra off-road car looks is not too modern. However, according to Helmut, it also did not pursue a fashion. For it the practicality, reliability and high speed was important. In many respects for this reason the car is equipped by an easy aluminium body and the diesel engine in volume 6,6 l which gives out a twisting moment in size 2000 Nm!!! And capacity of the motor is 1360 h.p!!!!!!
To cope with such capacity the independent pneumatic suspender which not only allows to go with enough high speed should completely, but also gives excellent comfort. At least, Helmut assures that it can rush on bad lines for the speed under 100-150 km/h (a road gleam of the car it is possible to increase about 250 mm). Thus he especially underlines that the diesel engine with a huge twisting moment and an easy body allow to be dispersed to it from a place to 200 km/h of all for10 sec only. And maximum speed of car comes near to 300 km/h, but founder Sparta has reasonably decided to limit speed to a mark in 250 km/h.
It is interesting that the driver's place in Sparta is located in the interior centre, and two passengers sit on the second to a row of seats – that is the car turns out three-local. Above it has already been told that Sparta while it is made only in the single copy. However mister Hartung is ready to assemble some more such cars. In a year it can do no more than two super cars, each will cost about 400 000 euros.

The architecture of Opel Astra was created by the European designers GM. The car has received new platform GM Delta II which already underlies Chevrolet Cruze, on it creates perspective hybrid Chevrolet Volt and Opel Ampera. In comparison with the previous generation the wheelbase of a new Astra has grown on 71 mm – to 2685 mm. And the body total length has increased with 4,24 to 4,4 metres that by 23 mm more than at the same Golf. A track too have expanded – a lobby on 56, rear on 70 mm.
And what inside? The interior became much more spacious. Convenience of landing at the wheel and workmanship deserves a praise, plastic arts of a torpedo and panels of doors soft and pleasant to the touch. In general, from a novelty we also did not expect another.
The Astra chassis in many respects similar to chassis Chevrolet Cruze. Distinctions in some details and options – ruggedness of springs and absorbers, and also suspenders from Opel absolutely others. Logically, the car is focused on more perfect driving. Aluminium A-shaped levers of front MakFersona to a stretcher fasten through hydrobearing parts, instead of through rubber sajlent-blocks, as on Cruze. On the New Astra will be an adaptive head optics and system Opel Eye (debuted on Insignia), developed together with company Hella. «Opel eye» by means of the special chamber located under a windshield, watches road signs and in the form of pictogrammes deduces them on a panel board. Astra will receive eight motors, half from which the diesel motors. All of them correspond to ecological norms of Euro-5. A power range 94 – 180 forces. In Europe cars will go on sale within 1-2 weeks. Cost in Germany starts from a mark in 15900 euros .
Dealers BMW have begun a booking on the big hatchback first in the history of the company in August. However the official presentation of serial model has taken place just now during a motor show in Frankfurt. This car is called BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo. What for Bavarians have decided to exhaust this car? To whom is it intended? Questions actually arises very much. Judge for yourself – at BMW already there is very decent versatile person BMW of 5th series, there are some crossovers of the every possible sizes, beginning from rather ferial Х1 and finishing smart Х6. Like the Bavarian company would not get big car to capture all categories of buyers … But on minivan release in BMW now are not ready to go.
However to offer something to buyers with the big families in BMW have been simply obliged. And consequently Germans have thought up model 5 Series Gran Turismo is something an average between the versatile person, a minivan and an off-road car. Thus it is necessary to notice that 5 Series Gran Turismo much more than usual "five". Its length makes 4998 mm that on 158 mm more than at a sedan of 5th series. And on 72 mm it is less than all, than at smart 7th series. That is turns out that 5 Series Gran Turismo henceforth is the second in the sizes BMW after "seven", after all even BMW X6 it is less than it! And on length of wheelbase 5 Series Gran Turismo at all does not concede 7th series. Ourselves some times checked figures, but all has appeared so – and at 5 Series Gran Turismo, and at BMW 7th series the length of base makes 3070 mm.

The most powerful car with an index 550i which will receive 407-strong motor V8 in volume of 4,4 l will appear, of course, more expensively – 75 300 euros.
Apparently, Peugeot wishes to become the first-ever company which will adjust release of a two-plus-two in length of all … 2,5 metres. As a matter of fact, in Europe and earlier sold machines of such length – for example, Smart the first generation too had 2,5 m, however, it is double. And in new Peugeot BB1 gets four persons, and at an exhibition in Frankfurt specially trained people constantly showed it to all associates.
Shown in Frankfurt Peugeot BB1 receive electric motor which eats from accumulators (them suffices approximately on 120 km). Capacity of the unit low, all about 20 h.p. At first sight a little, however, is one nuance – the weight of "BB1" is equal only 600 kg!!!!. And twenty "horsies" it is already enough easy to go on a city. Besides accumulators the car will receive energy also from the solar batteries which have been built in a roof. However, it will suffice only for work of an audiosystem, climatic system and light engineering.
Inside BB1 you can see all modern updates – despite the sizes Peugeot BB1 has received excellent music, "navigation", possibility to exit in the Internet.
Till now BB1 is only concept car. Frenchmen say that before start BB1 in a series they should work properly still. First of all it is necessary to solve questions with safety. And if to cope with face-to-face and lateral krash-tests manufacturers have learnt here is how to protect passengers at blow behind? Most likely, Peugeot is necessary to develop any pillow of safety which will protect heads and backs of rear passengers by company Toyota example.
On a motor show in Frankfurt Toyota have presented for the first time long-awaited Land Cruiser Prado new generation which has received an intrafactory designation «a series 150» (in Europe this model is known as simply Land Cruiser).
To say about that is essentially new model, nevertheless it would be too courageous. Yes, the car has got prettier, and is very serious, however, in its basis the old platform from «series 120». Also it is absolutely normal situation – in a case with off-road cars to develop each time a new platform has no economic sense. Besides the old basis has appeared rather successful, and in it still there was a huge stock for modernisation.
The interior of a new off-road car became more solid. Now in a luggage compartment there are two cleaned armchairs together a modest sofa which should be fastened to a board (thanks to it the car became not eight, and seven-seater). Also it is possible to notice that henceforth Land Cruiser Prado it will be possible to equip 3- zones climate control, and the separate air conditioner begins to serve passengers of the second row.
From the technical point of view in Prado there is nothing essentially new. Unless henceforth this model will be equipped with system KDSS which on impassability disconnects antiroll bars, improving flotation ability. Will start to put on the car and electronic system Multi-Terrain Select of new generation which will supervise degree of a wheel slip depending on covering type. Under cowl Land Cruiser Prado of new generation there is a well-known 6-cylinder motor in volume of 4,0 l which now gives out 276 h.p. (earlier there were 249 h.p.). The company to it will be made by an old 3,0-litre diesel engine (171 h.p.). Besides, in Japan the car with the four-cylinder petrol motor (163 h.p.) will start to be on sale. Gear boxes too standard – six-step "mechanics" or five-step "automatic machine".
Hyundai has officially presented absolutely new generation of model Sonata – in the European market this car will be on sale under name i40. And that the most interesting, premiere Sonata/i40 has passed not on a motor show in Frankfurt that would be quite logical. The car have shown in Korea within the limits of the closed presentation.
In comparison with present Sonata (Hyundai NF), the novelty became more. So the car wheelbase makes 2795 mm (at old model 2730 of mm), and the total length is equal now 4820 mm that on 20 mm more than earlier.
Under cowl Hyundai Sonata/i40 of new generation will put at first the motor in volume of 2,0 l which gives out 165 h.p. Besides, will appear also "gas" version Sonata/i40 – it will receive the same engine on volume, but its capacity will make 144 h.p. Together with the motor new 6-step "automatic machine" will work. Premiere Sonata and with more powerful motor in volume of 2,4 l a bit later is expected, and for the European market any modern diesel engine will be prepared. When the car will appear in the European market yet is not informed – most likely, it will occur only in 2010. Well for now Sonata it will be accessible only in South Korea – there it costs from $17 600.

On a motor show in Frankfurt absolutely unexpectedly for all the premiere of the new version Russian super car Marussia has taken place. The car has received index B2 it is a second variant of "Marussia", and all them can be … as much as necessary. According to the main ideologist of creation of the first Russian Nikolay Fomenko's super car, its company is capable to develop almost any body for short enough term. It is interesting that in Frankfurt Fomenko has shown at once three cars – besides B2 at the stand there were two more models with body В1. But the main nuance consists that cars are made of different materials: at white Marussia and at dark blue В2 bodies carbon, and at a white-blue car … the basalt.
The car looks rather interestingly, and body panels are adjusted to each other aloud better, than on the pre-series sample. The interior of the presented cars is finished by a skin, and internal furnish, probably still will lead up to mind. According to Nikolay Fomenko, welding of power structure of a body is in general its pride. It here even is better, than on … Ferrari.
At present Fomenko's company has already 17 orders. Completely paid orders! Each car costs to 4 million 460 thousand roubles, or an order 100 000 euros. Besides, in Russia there was even an interior on sale Marussia with the service-centre, and soon there will be also a second dealer.
«We in general wish to leave soon on level of 3000 cars in a year. For this purpose we soon will have three factories on assembly of cars, and, all of them, most likely, will be located in Europe. Naturally, basic volume of output will be made not by super cars. Their circulation will be not too big. The main locomotive should become … a crossover. We will show it next year, and at once in two variants – there will be a car in style of" a drop »and with more traditional for this class style« a rack ». Volkswagen has presented supereconomic double prototype L1 with a diesel engine-hybrid power-plant. A car body including the power structure, is executed from carbon fiber. L1 weighs only 380 kgs, 160 km/h accelerate momentum and on the average spends for hundred kilometres of a diesel fuel of 1,49 litres. Carbonic gas on way kilometre conceptual L1 throws out only 39 grammes. Thus the machine possesses quite good dynamic characteristics – hundred kilometres per hour L1 reaches for 14,3 seconds. Onboard the fuel stock in 10 litres allows to overcome 670 kilometres.
To achieve such indicators, Volkswagen have thoroughly worked. Thanks to that passengers have arranged one after another, developers the lateral section area managed to be made absolutely small, the factor of aerodynamic resistance L1 – makes 0,195. A turbodiesel, the electric motor, and seven-step gear box DSG designers have united clutches in one unit and have established in a body rear. At dispersals and in settled modes L1 is set in motion from two-cylinder 0,8-litre turbodiesel TDI. Work the motor can in two modes: in standard – «ECO» "cursor" develops capacity in 27 h.p. (20 kw) (at 4000 rpm), in a mode "SPORTS" which is activated at intensive speedups, capacity can quickly increase to 39 h.p. (29 kw) (at a similar rotary speed of a bent shaft). The maximum twisting moment of the engine makes 100 Nm (at 1900 rpm).
The 14-strong motor-generator of alternate current in a traction mode can work as together with the diesel motor (for example, at intensive dispersal), and irrespective of it (at movement on low speeds in plugs or in residential zones). In the latter case, L1 as the electromobile, moves exclusively for the electropull-rod account, DVC from transmission is disconnected by one of clutches. The Motor-generator works together with the lithium-ionic accumulator battery located in a front part of a body. By the way, there there was a place for a 50-litre luggage compartment. Developers say that the car is already almost ready to a batch production, the truth, concrete terms yet do not name.
